Featured Software: Unreal® Engine with Unreal Tournament® 3!
Aspiring game designers in this video game camp will use the powerful Unreal Engine to design 3D environments and levels complete with high dynamic range and bloom lighting, particle effects, physics and an advanced scripting language. Unreal Engine is used to power games such as Gears of War® and Unreal Tournament 3. Students will take home a copy of the game they create and a commercial copy of Unreal Tournament 3 in this video game camp.

This awesome 3D video game design and computer camp course is for experienced students looking to develop their game-making skills. If you are looking to design professional 3D games that both look and feel like the ones you play at home, then you don't want to miss this video game camp.
Aspiring game designers will use Unreal Engine to design 3D environments and levels complete with advanced special effects like high dynamic range and bloom lighting, particle effects, physics, and an advanced scripting language. Students will develop their creativity and design skills utilizing professional-grade software. Working on individual or team projects, students will emulate the workflow of a professional studio and get an insiders look at how the game design industry works.

Are you looking to take your game design skills to the next level? Think you can build better maps than your favorite game designers? Would you like to build 3D video graphics and games with tools as powerful as those used on real commercial game titles? If so, this teen 3D game design course is perfect for you. This exciting course will both challenge you and give you the freedom to bring your imagination to life. Because this course is designed for experienced students looking to take their creative skills to the next dimension and beyond, we strongly recommend (but do not require) that our Video Game Creation and 3D Game Design I courses be taken prior to 3D Video Game Design ll.

How We Teach
iD Tech Camps students receive the highest caliber technology education any summer camp has to offer! Students in this summer camp teens will be able to move along faster and more independently, or collaborate utilizing our customized lessons—while still receiving our gold standard 1-on-1 instruction (average 6 students per staff). Using the latest in hardware and software, our all-adult staff works hands-on with each student from project theory to completion (you won’t find counselors-in-training at iD). Repeating video game camps over several weeks?
Our curriculum in this 3D game design summer camp is designed so that students can return for multiple weeks, taking their skills to a whole new level. Our new curriculum is designed for beginning through advanced learners, allowing each student to move along at their own pace with customized lessons for a fun and appropriate challenge. It is not uncommon for students to stretch their skills in this course for 3, 4, and even 5 consecutive weeks. Below is an example of how your student’s skill level may increase if they take this course multiple weeks.

Attention Gamers
Consider attending the iD Gaming Academy, a 2-week intensive program in the dynamic worlds of game development and professional gaming. Academy courses are geared for beginning to advanced teens aged 13-17. Using industry-standard applications like Autodesk® Maya® and Adobe® Photoshop®, the Academy is taught by top instructors with game development portfolios. Tour a major game development studio. NVIDIA®-Hosted Teen Gaming Tournaments
New Games! This season we will have Pre-Teen and Teen Gaming Tournaments which will showcase the industry's hottest games. Teen students will have the chance to compete playing our featured game, Unreal Tournament® 3. We use NVIDIA GeForce® gaming cards for peak gaming performance. Students will also play BIG titles from Epic Games®, Activision®, Blizzard® Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Microsoft® GameStudios™ and more. In our Teen Gaming Tournaments, games rated “T” for Teen and "M" for Mature may be used and will be selected at the sole discretion of iD. Note: Tournaments DO NOT infringe on instructional time.

iD Tech Camps is an industry leader in offering various technology courses, including courses and activities revolving around gaming. Some of our gaming curriculum is based on the most commercially successful gaming titles and gaming engines. In order to offer the most cutting edge experience for our campers, we have adopted the policy of allowing the use of some select games rated "T" for Teen and “M” for Mature to be used as part of our curriculum in a supervised environment. While we take our corporate responsibility and iD family values very seriously, we cannot guarantee that younger students will avoid complete contact with these games. Please know that we make every effort to minimize exposure to any games not appropriate for these age groups
