Campers Have Chance to Compete Against World’s#1 Profesional Gamer, Fatal1ty
Calabasas, CA- August 8, 2007– – Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel announced that students attending the iD Gaming Academy this summer will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience for learning gaming tips from - and playing against - the top Professional Gamers in the world. After learning Quake® 4 strategies from world class gamer Alessandro “stermy” Avallone, a member of Free Player Organization, iD Gaming Academy students battled it last week for a $3,000 gaming system made up of Fatal1ty Brand products and a trip to Los Angeles to meet and play Fatal1ty.
Fatal1ty also announced the establishment of a $1,000 scholarship to an iD Tech Camps student. “iD Gaming Academy and iD Tech Camps do a great job of providing personal tech instruction to young people”, said Johnathan Wendel. “I like the iD Gaming Academy approach of using gaming competitions to teach video game development, which is why I’m happy to provide this scholarship.”

About Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel
Johnathan became the world’s first full time professional video gamer in October 1999, when he placed third at the CPL’s Frag3 tournament. Two weeks later he was invited to represent the USA in an international tournament in Stockholm, where he went undefeated with a perfect performance, winning all 18 maps and losing none.
