This awesome summer video game camp with Autodesk® Maya® Unlimited uses the premier 3D modeling, animation, effects and rendering software package on the market. Autodesk® Maya® Unlimited is used by big-name game studios and movie houses like Industrial Light and Magic®, WETA Workshops® and Epic Games®. Autodesk tools are used to develop 90% of contemporary video games and is one of the leading effects packages used in The Lord of the Rings™, Spider-Man®, Star Wars® and other blockbuster films.

In these Maya computer camps for teens, you'll learn to make models and game characters that go toe-to-toe with those you find in your favorite video games. You'll prepare your models for game play in the Unreal Engine. You'll leave these Maya summer camps with an impressive portfolio of your creations. Skill Level, Ages & Tuition

Customized for beginner to advanced learners ages 12-17. Curriculum is delivered in small student clusters and individually tailored to each student. All students will go home with a completed portfolio at the end of the week. This course has $100 lab fee.

This season we're excited to debut the new version of the professional-grade, industry-standard animation and modeling gold standard, Autodesk® Maya® Unlimited. Autodesk Maya Unlimited software is the ultimate version of Maya, and the tool of choice of 3D artists and animators who are looking to make their projects amazingly life-like, futuristic, and detailed. Maya Unlimited includes all the functionality found in Autodesk Maya Complete and provides professional artists and animators with additional industry-leading innovations. In addition to the new software, we'll be incorporating new modules into our curriculum that are fun and challenging.

Gaming Activities: Gaming Tournaments, Ultimate Gaming Weekends

General gameplay is a fun aspect of our summer camps, but does not infringe on instructional time. This season will feature Gaming Tournaments and Ultimate Gaming Weekends showcasing the industry’s best. We use NVIDIA GeForce® gaming cards for peak gaming performance. Students will play BIG titles from Epic Games®, Activision®, Blizzard® Entertainment, THQ®, Microsoft® GameStudios™ and more. In order to offer the most cutting edge experience for our campers, we have adopted the policy of allowing the use of some select games with ESRB ratings of “E” for Everyone, “T” for Teen and “M” for Mature to be used as part of our curriculum in a supervised environment. We take our corporate responsibility and iD family values very seriously, but cannot guarantee that younger students will avoid complete contact with these games. Please know that we make every effort to minimize exposure to any games not appropriate for these age groups.

Cool Summer Camp Activities

Balance is the key to every week at iD. While we are in the labs a majority of the day, we certainly take time out for fun summer camp activities. Students may participate in ultimate frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun outdoor teambuilding games, soccer, etc. If sports are not your thing, no worries!
