Teen Film Camp Instruction

Learn from professional filmmakers! The iD Film Academy offers students of all experience levels the chance to produce their own personal documentaries. Academy students use professional-grade editing and production tools including Apple® Final Cut Studio® 2 (with Final Cut Pro®), Adobe® After Effects® CS4 and Final Draft® AV. Final Cut Studio 2 turns a Mac into a professional, Hollywood-caliber film and video editing system. Film camp students graduate with a take-home DVD portfolio. iD faculty deliver one-on-one instruction, encouraging and challenging students to complete a high-quality film.

Learning in small groups, students work at their own pace. New to digital video editing and filmmaking? You’ll be brought up to speed with the basics of production and editing. Students with previous experience in film production or movie editing discover the complexities of sound design and special effects editing using Adobe® After Effects® CS4. Other software the students will use include: Sonicfire® Pro, Digieffects™ and Red Giant Software™ plug-ins: Primatte Keyer™ Pro, Magic Bullet™ Looks and Trapcode Particular.

All students participating in our teen movie camps will have a memorable experience making friends and documenting their two weeks at our programs in the San Francisco Bay Area and Montreal, Canada.

We encourage high quality, engaging films to emerge from this teen film camp, hoping our graduates will take their films to the festival circuit.
