Overview
Interested in expressing yourself through documentary filmmaking? Want to shoot and produce your own film in one of two beautiful settings? This film production summer camp is taught by top level instructors – both film school students and professional filmmakers. Students in this filmmaking course are introduced to the various stages of production from script writing, interview conducting, camera techniques and video editing. Using industry standard software like Apple Final Cut Studio® (with Final Cut Pro 7®) and Adobe® After Effects®, students will graduate with a professional-looking short and the skill set to excel in the world of film production. Featured Software
Using Apple Final Cut Studio, students will learn filmmaking and film production, including learning to mark and trim clips in a timeline. In addition, students may add music, filters, transitions, titles, credits and special effects using Adobe After Effects. Final Cut Studio is the editing suite of choice in the film, video and broadcast industries. It is an all-in-one box set that includes integrated, high-performance applications for film and video editing, motion graphics creation, sound design, color grading and digital delivery. Final Cut Studio includes Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, Soundtrack Pro 3, Color 1.5, Compressor 3.5 and DVD Studio Pro 4. If you are preparing for a creative profession, learning Apple applications will jump start your career because they are the tools the pros use!

Skill Level & Ages
- There are no prerequisites for this teen camp, except for the desire to learn the premiere filmmmaking and editing tools on the market.
- This course is for ages 13-18.
- The cost for the two-week overnight program is US $3,299. Check our site for current promotions.
- Weekend Stays are optional, but recommended, and cost $349 per weekend.
- Continuing Education Units are available to 11th and 12th grade students, for an additional fee.
