“My son went to Vassar College for the iD Visual Arts Academy. He had a wonderful time and great experience at camp. He made a lot of new friends that he is already keeping in touch with and a lot of them want to go back again next year. I was impressed with the director of the camp. He incorporated some team building into the program and I feel it really helped my son feel comfortable with the group right from the beginning. The director was always available for a phone call and my son really liked him. We were pleased that he was a little older and very knowledgeable. I was impressed with the other instructors as well. What Academy Students Are Saying
“The instructors made the camp for me. Had it not been for their excitement for our success and friendship, the camp wouldn’t have impacted me as much as it did. Zack V., student, Stanford iD Visual Arts Academy
“We had a pretty amazing day at the iD Visual Arts Academy at Vassar yesterday. We took the train to NYC, watched actors sing songs from a broadway musical in Bryant Park, went to the museum exhibit at The Public Library, followed by The Moving Image Museum for the Jim Henson Exhibit. Next we had a picnic lunch and filming in Central Park. After lunch we took a subway ride to Chelsea and walked The Highline Park shooting more footage and photos. At the top of The Highline we went rollerskating at the outdoor roller rink courtesy of the Channel 4 News who wanted to film us. Then we strolled over to B+H, the world’s largest photo & video store, to check out all the latest gear on our way to Times Square. At Times Square we had pizza and pasta dinner at John’s Pizzeria. The finally headed back to Grand Central for a sleepy train ride back to Vassar. I asked everyone what the best part was, they said “ALL OF IT!” Kristopher K., student, Vassar iD Visual Arts Academy
