Program Overview

Quick Facts

  • Available at UC Berkeley, Stanford University and McGill University.
  • 2-week intensive visual arts program for teens ages 13-18.
  • Cost is US $3,299 per 2-week program, and includes room, board, instruction and activities.  Check our site for special promotions.
  • Weekend stays (optional, but recommended) cost $349 and include room, board, field trips and project time.
  • An average of 8 students per instructor.
  • Space is limited for this course, and availability is first-come, first-served.
  • Required: A strong desire to pursue a career in Visual Arts or Digital Media.

Activities

Academy students enjoy extra privileges appropriate for their environment and maturity levels. While we maintain standard supervision ratios, teens will still feel a sense of freedom. After each day’s instruction, students may want to spend their evenings engaging in traditional activities that may include Ultimate Frisbee or soccer.

If sports aren’t your thing, sign up for an instructor workshop. Some topics may include stop-motion animation or music composition.

Students may be allowed to travel in groups within local boundaries with the understanding that these privileges may be enjoyed only if they remain responsible. Our supervising staff will always be in the nearby vicinity and visually check-in with teens periodically. Activities and excursions are supervised by iD Visual Arts Academy staff.

iD Tech Camps (Ages 7-17)
North America’s #1 Tech Camp, celebrating our 12th season. We offer technology summer camps for students ages 7-17 at over 60 prestigious summer camps in the U.S. and Canada.

iD Gaming Academy (Ages 13-18)
Now in its 5th season, the iD Gaming Academy offers multiple 2-weeks sessions of intensive study in the dynamic world of video game creation, game programming and 3D game modeling and web games. Using powerful, industry-standard applications like Autodesk® Maya®, Adobe® Photoshop® and the Unreal® Engine, this program is taught by top-tier instructors with demonstrated game creation experience.

iD Programming Academy (Ages 13-18)
We offer an intensive 2-week teen programming academy at Stanford University and MIT. Learn to create iPhone® and Facebook® applications.  Learn C++ and other languages.  If you want to learn to code for the first time, or want to take your code to a completely new level, this is the place.  Welcome to our teen computer science camp!
