Activities
Academy students enjoy extra privileges appropriate for their environment and maturity levels. While we maintain standard supervision ratios, teens will still feel a sense of freedom. After each day’s instruction, students may want to spend their evenings engaging in traditional activities that may include Ultimate Frisbee or soccer.
If sports aren’t your thing, sign up for an instructor workshop. Some topics may include stop-motion animation or music composition.
Students may be allowed to travel in groups within local boundaries with the understanding that these privileges may be enjoyed only if they remain responsible. Our supervising staff will always be in the nearby vicinity and visually check-in with teens periodically. Activities and excursions are supervised by iD Visual Arts Academy staff.
Do Something Big!
Did you know that the iD Visual Arts Academy has students just like you, who were inspired by what they learned in our programs and have gone on to achieve BIG things? Meet Danny and read what one of our campers has to say about the benefits of attending the iD Visual Arts Academy.
You’ve heard how great the iD Visual Arts Academy is from us, but here’s what a parent had to say about our program:
“My 13-year old son attended film camp at McGill University. It literally transformed his life. Gabriel has been interested in film since he was a very small child and has dreamed of working with others who shared his passion. He adored the camp counselors. They made his experience at McGill. They took an interest in him as a person and treated him as an adult when it came to his film project. One of the counselors even lent him his university text book and took the time to engage in lengthy discussions about film. Gabriel already intends to return to film camp next year. He found in his camp experience a group of people who understood the artist in him and appreciated his passion for film. He refers to this group as the “friends he never knew existed.” Despite being the youngest in the group, he was never made to feel inferior in any way. To the contrary: his views and inputs were taken seriously and he earned the respect of his fellow campers. One final thing to add is the whole administrative dimension of the camp. Everything was organized flawlessly. The communication between the camp and the parents was as user-friendly as it gets. My wife and I so appreciated this very high level of organization and the attention to safety at every level. In short, this was a fabulous experience for Gabriel and our whole family is filled with gratitude with all of those people who contributed to the success of the program. We intend to spread the word!”
