Each session spans two weeks in 2008—the perfect duration for new and returning students who want to focus on a single aspect of game development, or enroll in multiple sessions covering comprehensive topics. Here are our 3 courses for 2008!

Game Modeling with Maya® - Updated!
- Tuition, Room, Board & Activities: US $2,999 (two-week session)
- Weekend Stays (optional, but recommended): US $300 (per weekend)
- Beginner to Advanced, ages 13-17
Each student will run Autodesk® Maya® Complete on a high end PC workstation and learn the basics of 3D graphics production, including character modeling, texturing and animating from top tier instructors with game development experience. A selection of game models will be created, including a primary character, weapon and additional game objects. Each student will build a personal DVD portfolio of their animated game models. More

We are pleased to announce our new limited-edition course, partnering with Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel. Johnathan Wendel, the world’s best known professional gamer, is collaborating on curriculum development for this exclusive course. Learn advanced skills from world-renowned professional gamers including members of the Free Player Organization. That’s right! Highly regarded professional gamers will be teaching live in our labs at the iD Gaming Academy’s Camp Fatal1ty! Our instructors, arriving to teach from as far away as Europe, are at the cutting edge of this budding profession. Want to game your best? Then learn from the best! Dedicated gamers will be introduced to tactics and strategies developed by Fatal1ty and other professional gamers, which have been honed in international competitions. You’ll also learn the skills to create machinima and build highlight video reels of your best in-game moves and shots. More

If game graphics can be considered a red Ferrari flying down the freeway, then game programming is certainly the powerful engine under the hood. In this game development course focusing on scripting and programming, you’ll be the engine mechanic, turning bolts and running diagnostics. You’ll learn the fundamentals of character/object interaction, level design, and UI editor, using the powerful Unreal® Engine. Over the course of two weeks, you’ll progress from the intuitive concepts of a visual scripting system to an introduction to a gameplay scripting language similar to a high-level Java-like object oriented programming language.
