About UC Davis

We have chosen UC Davis to host our summer kids computer camps, academic camps and teen camps in the Sacramento area because of its reputation in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Engineering. UC Davis is one of only 62 universities admitted to the prestigious Association of American Universities. UC Davis, known for its small-town culture is the largest of the ten University of California campuses, encompassing 5,200 acres.

The campus is located 15 miles west of Sacramento, the state capital, and 72 miles northeast of San Francisco. Sacramento International Airport is an easy 20-mile drive from downtown Davis. Davis also has a Greyhound bus terminal and an Amtrak station. We’ve got several San Francisco Bay Area summer camp locations, but UC Davis is a great option for people living and commuting east of the Bay.

About Our Courses

We teach the coolest courses including video game design, Flash animation, programming, video editing, and more–using the best brand name products from Adobe^®, Apple^®, Autodesk^®, Canon^®, Microsoft^® and beyond. Come explore the college campus and gain technical skills that will last long after summer camp ends. Do something big.

Our students receive the highest caliber technology education any technology summer camp has to offer! Our method of project-based learning highlights our 1-on-1 instruction, and above all, is loads of fun. Students learn at their own pace in small groups of an average of 6 students per instructor (compared to 30 students in an average classroom). Students at iD are taught only by hand-selected adult staff.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens

Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero III^TM, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.

Attention Northern California Teens! Our summer camps in NorCal just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming.
