iD Tech Camps invites you to join us at the University of British Columbia. iD Tech Camps is North America’s #1 summer computer camp, and we’re excited to be bringing our program to Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Schools and Faculties at University of British Columbia: The University of British Columbia currently offers course work through a number of different schools and faculties, including Human Kinetics, Arts, Applied Science, Business, Dentistry, Forestry, Education, Science, Graduate Studies, Health Disciplines, Interdisciplinary Studies, Land and Food Systems, Law, Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Student Population: University of British Columbia hosts about 46,000 total students on their Greater Vancouver campus, made up of approximately 36,771 undergraduates and about 9,350 postgraduates.

Rankings: Newsweek has ranked the University of British Columbia 2nd among Canadian universities and 27th in the world, while the Times Higher Education Supplement of the UK ranked UBC as high as 23rd in the world. In terms of the percentage of PH. D level professors, UBC has the highest North American ranking, boasting 92%. UBC’s foreign language program is also held in high regard. Their Chinese program is the largest in North America and their Japanese program is North America’s second largest after the University of Hawaii. World-class, well-known artists head courses in Art History, Visual Arts and Theory.

Athletics: The UBC Thunderbirds represent the University as members of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport, which is the national governing body of university sport in Canada. Camp Activities for Kids & Teens

Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities at these University of British Columbia summer camps may include ultimate frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony at our Vancouver summer camps.

Attention Vancouver Teens! Our summer camps in the Greater Vancouver area at University of British Columbia just got even cooler for our teen students. Weekend Stays

Stay the Weekend at iD this Summer!

Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.

Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.

Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.

Not a serious gamer? We’ve got you covered. You can take it easy in the labs, play retro games, read a book, play outdoor sports, or just keep a low profile.
