About Towson University

iD Tech Camps is excited to be hosting our academic camps for teens and kids at Towson University. Towson is recognized among the nation’s best regional public universities, offering more than 100 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and applied professional fields.

Located in suburban Towson, eight miles north of Baltimore, the beautifully landscaped, 328-acre setting offers a pleasant environment for our summer computer camps and a diverse campus life, as well as easy access to a wealth of university and community resources. Towson University is the second-largest public university in Maryland.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), located about 45 minutes south of Towson, handles air traffic from all major carriers. Train service is available via Amtrak in and out of Baltimore’s Penn Station, 20 minutes south of campus.

About Our Courses

We teach the coolest courses including video game design, Flash animation, programming, video editing, and more–using the best brand name products from Adobe^®, Apple^®, Autodesk^®, Canon^®, Microsoft^® and beyond. Come explore the college campus and gain technical skills that will last long after summer camp ends. Do something big.

Our students receive the highest caliber technology education any technology summer camp has to offer! Our method of project-based learning highlights our 1-on-1 instruction, and above all, is loads of fun. Students learn at their own pace in small groups of an average of 6 students per instructor (compared to 30 students in an average classroom). Students at iD are taught only by hand-selected adult staff.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens

Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero III^TM, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.

Attention Maryland Teens! Our summer camps in Maryland just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming.
