Join us for our 5th season at our Washington University location in St. Louis, MO. iD Tech Camps is North America’s #1 summer computer camp and one of a handful of elite summer camps in St. Louis. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our popular Washington University summer day camps and overnight camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff. iD Tech Camps hosts our summer camps in Missouri at Washington University because the University is counted among the world’s leaders in teaching and research.
Getting to Campus: We do not disclose the precise campus location of this Missouri summer camp until you register. Specific maps and driving directions will be found in your Camp Account. Washington University’s beautiful campus is just 14 miles south of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport near Interstates 170 and 64. Washington University is the perfect Day Camp and Overnight Camp location.

Schools and Colleges at Washington University: Washington University offers both Undergraduate and Graduate Programs through the College of Arts & Sciences, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Olin Business School, School of Engineering, School of Law, Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Graduate School of Art, Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design, School of Medicine, Central Institute for the Deaf.
Student Population: In 2007, with only 1,338 spots at the undergraduate level, Washington University received 22,428 applications. The acceptance rate for the Class of 2011 was a highly competitive 19% and more than 90% of freshmen coming in that year were ranked in the top 10% of their high school class.
Rankings: Washington University realizes that a school’s reputation isn’t all about academic rankings. Aiming to provide an all around enjoyable college experience, Wash U was ranked #1 for quality of life by the Princeton Review in 2008. This was done without sacrificing academic integrity and their undergraduate program currently maintains the 12th overall ranking and the 11th spot in admissions selectivity, in the 2010 U.S. News & World Report. It is also worth noting that 19 undergraduate areas of study are ranked among the top 10 programs in the country. Wash U’s Graduate studies have also been recognized as some of the top programs in the country. These Graduate schools include the School of Medicine (ranked 3rd) and the George Warren Brown School of Social Work (currently ranked 1st).
Athletics: The Washington University Bears participate in the University Athletic Association and compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Bears have totaled 16 NCAA Division III Championships and 130 UAA titles in 14 different sports. Going way back to 1904, Wash U’s Francis Field was the host site of the 1904 Summer Olympics. Francis is also home of the Bears’ Football, Soccer, and Track and Field teams.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens
Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.
Attention St. Louis Teens! Our summer camps in Missouri at Washington University just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Stay the Weekend at iD this Summer!
Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.
Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.
Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.
