Join us for our 8th season at our UNC Chapel Hill location in the Raleigh-Durham area of NC. iD Tech Camps is North America’s #1 summer computer camp and one of a handful of elite summer camps in North Carolina. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our popular UNC Chapel Hill summer day camps and overnight camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff. We have chosen the UNC Chapel Hill campus to host our summer academic camps because this school, the nation’s first public university, is consistently ranked among the nation’s very best public schools. Chapel Hill, North Carolina anchors one corner of the famed Research Triangle, which continues to play a vital role in nurturing the economic development of the state.
Getting to Campus: We do not disclose the precise campus location of this North Carolina summer camp until you register. Specific maps and driving directions will be found in your Camp Account. Chapel Hill is about 30 miles from the state capital, Raleigh, and 20 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. UNC Chapel Hill is an excellent option for a Day Camp, Overnight Camp and Ultimate Gaming Weekend program.

Athletics: Tar Heel Blue may be one of the most recognizable colors in all of college sports. UNC participates in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. UNC has not only enjoyed success with their historically successful basketball team. In all, the university has won 35 NCAA team championships in six different sports. UNC’s women’s soccer team has enjoyed nineteen NCAA championships while their women’s field hockey team has grabbed five national titles. The Men’s basketball team just won its 5th NCAA basketball championship in 2009. Other recent successes have come for the Tar Heels baseball team, including three consecutive College World Series appearances between 2006 to 2008.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens
Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities at these North Carolina summer camps may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.
Attention North Carolina Teens! Our summer camps in North Carolina at UNC Chapel Hill just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.
Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.
Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.
