iD Tech Camps invites you to join us for our 3rd season at our Rider University location and 8th season in the Princeton area, NJ. iD Tech Camps is America’s #1 summer computer camp and one of a handful of elite summer camps in New Jersey. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our popular Rider University summer day camps and overnight camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff.

About Rider University

Rider University is a private university with roots dating back to 1865. Rider is in the top tier of Northern regional universities mentioned in the “Best Universities - Masters” category by US News and World Report and is also among the top 15% of colleges and universities in the nation in Princeton Review’s 2006 edition of The Best 361 Colleges. The University is located on 280 beautiful acres across two campuses in New Jersey–one in Lawrenceville and one in Princeton, and is home to NCAA Division 1 men’s and women’s athletics.

Our day camps & overnight camps are held at Rider University’s main campus in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. The campus is less than 10 minutes from the Hamilton station stop on the New Jersey Transit. Rider University is an excellent option among our multiple Northeast summer computer camps.

About Our Courses

We teach the coolest courses including video game design, Flash animation, programming, video editing, and more–using the best brand name products from Adobe^®, Apple^®, Autodesk^®, Canon^®, Microsoft^® and beyond. Come explore the college campus and gain technical skills that will last long after summer camp ends. Do something big.

Our students receive the highest caliber technology education any technology summer camp has to offer! Our method of project-based learning highlights our 1-on-1 instruction, and above all, is loads of fun. Students learn at their own pace in small groups of an average of 6 students per instructor (compared to 30 students in an average classroom). Students at iD are taught only by hand-selected adult staff.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens

Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero III^TM, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.

Attention New Jersey Teens! Our summer camps in New Jersey at Rider University just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Ultimate Gaming Weekends (UGW) (Ages 12-17)
UGW is a weekend summer program for teens enrolled at select iD Tech Camps locations. UGW Gamers will be immersed in the dynamic and exciting world of video gaming. Playing some of the hottest games on the market, students will practice and compete on machines complete with blazing NVIDIA GeForce^® video cards. Students will also be introduced to tactics and strategies developed by professional gamers for use in some of the most competitive and popular PC games. Read more.
