Join us for our 4th season at our Fordham University location in the Bronx, NY. iD Tech Camps is North America’s #1 summer computer camp and one of a handful of elite summer camps in New York City. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our popular Fordham University summer day camps and overnight camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff. Fordham is a Research University (High Research Activity). This classification is based on the number of doctoral degrees awarded, research expenditures and numbers of research staff. About Fordham University
Our New York City camp students enjoy the full iD Tech Camps experience with our day camps and overnight camps at Fordham University in the Bronx. This is a gorgeous university campus. You will feel worlds away from the city when surrounded by the magnificent Gothic buildings of the Rose Hill Campus, the second largest green campus in New York City. Founded in 1841, Fordham University was the first Catholic institution of higher learning in the Northeast. Our summer academic camps for kids and teens are held at the Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx–Fordham University’s main campus in New York City.
Getting to Campus: We do not disclose the precise campus location of this New York summer camp until you register. Specific maps and driving directions will be found in your Camp Account. The campus is less than 20 minutes from Grand Central Station via the Metro-North Railroad and is also accessible by New York City subways and buses. Visit the MTA website for schedules, maps and service advisories. Fordham’s Rose Hill Campus is an excellent option among our Northeast summer computer camps.

Schools at Fordham University: Utilizing three different campuses, Fordham University hosts four undergraduate colleges and six graduate schools. These include Fordham College at Rose Hill, Fordham College at Lincoln Center, School of Law, Fordham College of Liberal Studies, College of Business Administration, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School of Education, Graduate School of Social Service, Graduate School of Business Administration, and the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education.
Student Population: Fordham University currently enrolls approximately 8,500 Undergraduates and over 7,500 Postgraduates.
Rankings: U.S. News & World Report’s Tier 1 national universities contains a list of prestigious universities, and as of February 2009, Fordham’s undergraduate program ranks 61st on that list. In terms of graduate studies, the Graduate School of Education was ranked 58th in the nation, while the College of Business Administration is currently ranked 71st (up nine spots from its 2007 ranking). Fordham also claims the first foreign MBA degree program to be approved by the Chinese Government (BIMBA program-Beijing International MBA).
Athletics: Fordham fields 22 men’s and women’s varsity teams, along with a number of club teams, not to mention a vast intramural sports program. The Fordham Rams are members of NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in all sports except football. The Rams play football in the Patriot League of the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Fordham has experienced football success as the 2002 Patriot League co-champions, while grabbing the 2007 Patriot League title. Fordham has also cultivated a number of successful baseball players, most notably launching the career of hall of famer Frankie Frisch, known as “The Fordham Flash.”
Distinguished Alumni & Personnel: Famous Fordham graduates include Chairman and CEO of Xerox Anne M. Mulcahy; six-time Emmy Award winning actor Alan Alda; famous magician David Copperfield; and football coaching legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi.
Camp Activities for Kids & Teens
Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities at this teen and youth camp may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.
Attention New York Teens! Our summer camps in New York at Fordham University just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Weekend Stays
Stay the Weekend at iD this Summer!
Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.
Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.
Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.
