Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our NYU summer day camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff. The center of NYU is its Washington Square campus in the heart of Greenwich Village.

Getting to Campus: We do not disclose the precise on-campus location of this New York summer camp until you register. Specific maps and driving directions will be found in your Camp Account. Our summer camp is held in a building that overlooks Washington Square.

Founded: 1831
Schools and Colleges at New York University: NYU consists of 16 colleges, schools, and institutes. The College of Arts and Science (CAS) was the only school in existence when NYU was founded. Undergraduate schools include: the Gallatin School of Individualized Study; the School of Social Work; the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development – the very first school of education in the USA; the Stern School of Business; and Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 Polytechnic University merged with NYU becoming the first engineering school at NYU in decades. Many of the mentioned schools also offer graduate and professional programs. NYU’s postgraduate schools and divisions include Dentistry, Nursing, Mathematical Sciences, Fine Arts, Study of the Ancient World, Continuing and Professional Studies, the School of Law, Medicine, Graduate School of Arts and Science, and Public Service. In addition, NYU awards degrees at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, making it the only private university in the country with two medical schools.
Student Population: NYU’s vast student population represents all 50 states and over than 130 countries. About 25-30% of NYU’s incoming freshman are from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, while the remaining 70-75% are from outside the Tri-State Area. Athletics: The sports teams at NYU are nicknamed the Violets. The colors are trademarked hue NYU Violet and white. The school mascot is the bobcat. Almost all of NYU’s sporting teams participate in the NCAA’s Division III and the University Athletic Association. Some of the more popular sports at NYU are ice hockey, basketball, cross country, track and field, and soccer.

Camp Activities for Kids & Teens
Age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate Frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.
Attention New York Teens! Our summer camps in New York at New York University just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Weekend Stays
Stay the Weekend at iD this Summer!
Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.
Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.
Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.
Not a serious gamer? We’ve got you covered. You can take it easy in the labs, play retro games, read a book, play outdoor sports, or just keep a low profile.
