Join us for our 5th season at our University of Houston location in Houston, TX. iD Tech Camps is North America’s #1 summer computer camp and one of a handful of elite summer camps in Texas. Our summer kids camps and teen camps are designed for beginner to advanced learners. Our popular Houston summer day camps and overnight camps average 6 students per instructor for customized instruction delivered by highly trained adult-only staff. UH is located inside Loop 610 approximately 7.5 miles north of William P. Hobby Airport – making it a convenient Day Camp and Overnight Camp option in Houston, compared to our other summer camps in Texas.

Rankings: The University of Houston has been recognized for Campus Ethnic Diversity and ranked #2 among national universities by U.S. News & World Report. The report also ranks the Bauer College of Business as the top Undergraduate Business Program in Houston, and 63rd in the nation when compared to other public universities. The Princeton Review has also recognized the academic quality of the University of Houston and has ranked their entrepreneurship program as the best in the nation. Athletics: The University of Houston Cougars are members of Conference USA, and since the conference was formed in 1995, UH has won a respectable 33 titles.
The University of Houston sponsors 16 intercollegiate programs, with their most successful programs being men’s golf, men’s basketball (five NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four appearances), and men’s baseball (two appearances in the College World Series). In addition, the University of Houston has produced more than 50 Olympic athletes, who have brought home 33 medals, 19 of which were gold medals. In addition to varsity intercollegiate sports, the University of Houston offers a multitude of intramural sports programs.
Distinguished Alumni & Personnel: Those in entertainment who have attended the University of Houston include actor Dennis Quaid; actor Randy Quaid; country music singer Kenny Rogers; and former Managing Editor and Anchor for the CBS Evening News Dan Rather. Camp Activities for Kids & Teens
iD Tech Camps’ Houston youth summer programs offer age appropriate fun for kids 7-12 and teens 13-17. Students will receive an average of 5-6 hours of technical instruction per day mixed with breaks, lunch, and fun camp activities we like to call TechReation. Participation in activities is encouraged, but optional. Physical activities may include ultimate frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun teambuilding games, soccer, etc., and other camp activities like Guitar Hero®, video gaming tournaments, social time and more. Each week wraps up with family showcase at 2:00 PM on Friday. Check out the cool projects created by students, meet the instructor, and attend our diploma ceremony.
Attention Texas Teens! Our summer camps in Texas at the University of Houston just got even cooler for our teen students. We have specialized teen activities including free time to hang out, movie nights, extra project time, and as always, plenty of gaming. Check out our other cool teen-only programs like the iD Gaming Academy, iD Visual Arts Academy, iD Programming Academy and Ultimate Gaming Weekends (offered at select locations).

Weekend Stays
Stay the Weekend at iD this Summer!
Weekend Stays and Ultimate Gaming Weekends are offered at many iD locations.
Weekend Stays / Ultimate Gaming Weekends are great options for students looking to bridge the gap between two weeks of camp or for students who want to stay and game with us the weekend following their camp week.
Overnight students ages 12-17 at iD Tech Camps, as well as those registered for our Teen Academies (ages 13-18), can bridge the weekend between consecutive overnight camp weeks. As an exception, overnight students ages 10-17 at Stanford University may also participate. The cost is $349 per weekend and is all-inclusive (housing, meals, supervision, gaming, activities, etc). This offering only applies to overnight students and is not stand-alone.
Not a serious gamer? We’ve got you covered. You can take it easy in the labs, play retro games, read a book, play outdoor sports, or just keep a low profile.
