Overnight Camps (Sleep Away Camps)

Our summer computer camps offer a lot of traditional camp activities, so be prepared! All registered campers should access the below checklists, along with our concise Maps and Driving Directions, mandatory Emergency Contact and Medication Forms, the Camp Director Cell Phone Number, etc. in your Camp Account well in advance of arriving to camp.
Items to Pack: Overnight Campers
iD is not responsible for theft or damage to personal items

What NOT to Bring to Overnight Camp
- Laptop or Desktop computers. Participants are provided with a computer at camp, and we must be able to monitor internet use at all times. Certain filtering software is placed on iD Tech Camps' computers, and this may not be the case with a personal computer. It is for the safety and security of all that we ask participants to not bring personal computers to camp.
- Televisions, DVD players, VCRs, and game consoles. We ask campers not to bring these items because we have many special activities planned. We want campers to participate in group activities and socialize with other campers. We offer many activities, including movie nights and gaming tournaments. NOTE: Handheld game consoles, i.e. Gameboys or PSP’s, are allowed as long as the games are appropriate. However, iD Tech Camps is not responsible for theft or damage to personal items.
- Roller blades, skateboards, shoes with wheels. These are not permitted unless this is the participant's only mode of transportation to/from camp, in which case, item must be checked in upon entrance to camp/checked out upon exiting camp.
- Personal pets or animals. Animals are not allowed to be brought or kept at camp.
- Lighters or matches. These are not allowed at camp for any reason.

Cell Phones: Where We Stand
We discourage students from bringing cell phones to camp. We, and many camp experts, feel cell phones distract from the summer camp experience and constant use can impede the development of life skills, direct communication and self-reliance which are important parts of the summer camp experience. Rest assured, if you need to be contacted for any reason, you will be. You can also call your Camp Director at any time during camp hours. If you do decide to send your student to camp with a cell phone, please speak with them about appropriate use. Cell phones are to be turned off during instructional time. We thank you for your cooperation.
