Meals: All meals are included for Overnight camp students—breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals will be provided by the university dining hall.
Activities: Overnight summer camp students will have many evening activities to choose from. Activities vary by location. Students will spend an average of 5-6 hours on the computer each day (exception—RoboContenders). Computer time is split up by breaks, lunch, and camp activity time, which we like to call Tech-Reation. Tech-Reation activities may include ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, team building games, soccer and other sports activities, just to name a few. For those students less interested in physical sports, we will also provide board and card games during this time. Additional evening techtivities may include Dance-Dance-Revolution™, Guitar Hero III™, movie night, talent shows, karaoke, and possibly additional lab and gaming time.
Roommates: Sleep away summer camp students have the option of requesting a specific roommate upon registration; if none is specified, we make every effort to room each student with another camper near their same age. Boys and girls will typically be housed on separate floors or opposite wings of the dormitory. If your child is between the age of 10-12 and you have requested a teenage roommate, please contact our Client Services Department at 1-888-709-TECH (8324), option 1 to make special rooming arrangements.
Supervision: Our entire staff has undergone multiple background checks and will be on hand to supervise students throughout the night and to lead evening activities. We average an 8:1 student to staff ratio during evening hours and our staff will stay in the dorms along with the students; in separate rooms of course.
Family Showcase - Who's Invited? Each week iD Tech Camps cordially invites family and friends to tour our labs, meet our staff and experience projects created by our students. This event is the perfect opportunity to experience the excitement of camp and provide instant feedback to us. Family Showcase is held every Friday from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at every campus. More specific details will be provided on your first day of camp, including the exact location of Family Showcase at your specific campus.
