A Family Company – Celebrating 10 Seasons!
As a family-owned company operating on a national scale, we continue to pay close attention to the details you care about. We are widely respected in the summer camp industry for setting and maintaining high standards by which great summer day camps and overnight camps are measured: risk management, happy campers, personalized attention, and mixing traditional camp activities with visionary technology education. We take risk management seriously. Here is what we do to reduce risk at our summer camps:

easy way for camps to cut corners. Only trained,
adult staff teach our courses and supervise
our camps.

How does iD Tech Camps pass and surpass many ACA Benchmarks?
The American Camping Association (ACA), a leading authority in camps and child development, is an organization that works to preserve the quality of various camp programs. ACA strives to ensure camp safety, quality staff, healthy learning environments and excellence.
iD Tech Camps is ACA accredited at various locations. This is a major undertaking for a camp of our size. We are very proud of our commitment to reducing risk at our camps. All of our summer computer camps across the country follow the same consistent set of standards which meet or exceed many of the ACA standards:

Here is some additional information that you may find beneficial in helping you understand what we do at iD Tech Camps

Background Checks The Volunteers for Children Act, an amendment to the National Child Protection Act of 1993, now allows for iD Tech Camps to not only run a comprehensive background check on all our staff members on a local level, but also a national level. iD Tech Camps also runs a new check each year for all returning staff members. We not only run criminal background checks, but we also run sexual offender background checks and identification checks. In addition, we also check multiple references for each candidate, and then we train our staff IN PERSON.

Best Summer Camp Staff & Instruction
iD meticulously plans each week. We personally interview and hand-pick each instructor. Because we are hiring the best, we also pay the best, which means our instructors are enthusiastic, energetic and tech-knowledgeable. Each member of our team comes to us with a blend of spirit, energy, enthusiasm, knowledge of technology and experience with kids and teens. Our staff is experienced in producing digital videos, creating video games, designing websites, programming robots and much more. We firmly believe that our summer computer camps are only as good as our personnel.

Supervision
Adult staff supervise ALL summer camp classes, activities, dining, and boarding. Parents & guardians of commuting students will be asked to sign their students out each day. At the time of sign out, the Parents/Guardians will be asked for a code word. These are just some of the ways that we oversee the safety of each camper.

Internet Safety
We partner with Symantec™, who provides Internet Safety software at iD Tech Camps. They also help parents provide guidance to their children who are using the Internet. The goal is to keep your children and your computer safe online, and help you make sure your children are good cybercitizens. With your direction and supervision, the Internet can be a positive, safe place for your child to research, learn, communicate, and socialize. Please visit the Symantec Parent Resource Website for more information.

Visitors
We do not allow for anyone to tour the iD Lab unless prior authorization has been provided by our main office.

Personalized Attention
iD's small classes ensure one-on-one customized instruction. We set the standard of one computer for each student and an average of 6 students per instructor.

Day & Overnight Youth Summer Camps
We offer kids camps and teen camps. Our youngest students (ages 7-10) study together in our Adventures in Game Design and Adventures in Comic Creation or our new Game & Web Design Hybrid course (ages 9-12). We also have many summer camp courses designed just for teens as well as camp courses designed specifically for the 10-and-up age range. Please view our courses page for more information.

Family Showcase
Each week iD Tech Camps cordially invites family and friends to tour our labs, meet our staff and experience projects created by our students. This event is the perfect opportunity to experience the excitement of camp, provide instant feedback to us, and experience each tech course first-hand. Family Showcase is held every Friday from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at every campus, except for the 4th of July week. More specific details will be provided on your first day of camp, including the exact location of Family Showcase at your specific campus.
