iPhone® App Development
Overview
Prerequisite: Practical knowledge of C++ or Java Beginning with a foundation in object oriented programming (OOP) like Java or C++, students in this course will be introduced to Objective-C, and then tackle Apple® development environments Xcode® and Interface Builder. Students will additionally explore the iPhone® SDK, bringing them full circle and emulating their applications on the computer. Take home your project code and bring it to life on your own Apple device. Required: A personal iPhone or iPod touch® must be brought to the Academy. iD is not responsible for lost or stolen equipment.

- Wweekend stays are optional, but recommended, and cost $349 per weekend.
What’s New
New course! Introduced to critical acclaim in 2007, the iPhone is an Internet and multimedia enabled smartphone produced by Apple®. Along with its iPod cousin, the iPod touch®, the iPhone helped change the way we communicate and compute on the go. Using Objective-C® and Apple specific technologies like XCode® and Interface Builder, students will create and code iPhone apps. This is your opportunity to hitch a ride on the hottest smartphone technology of the decade.
