What’s on the Menu?
Eating in the Dining Halls
Most of our summer camp locations boast all-you-can-eat dining while other sites offer an a-la-carte dining experience. Eating in the campus dining halls is a great way to experience university life and explore local hangouts. Vegetarian meals may also be available. After registration, you will have the opportunity to inform our office of any special needs or dietary restrictions through your online My Account.
Day Camps: Lunch Plan
Day campers have the option of purchasing our lunch plan or bringing a bag lunch. The lunch plan is recommended, but not mandatory. If the lunch plan is purchased, lunch is provided Monday-Friday.
The cost of our lunch plan is $50 per week. You can choose to add our lunch plan at the time of registration. Please note that most commuting camp students do purchase the lunch plan so we suggest it to simplify your summer (no need to pack lunch, remember it, etc.). Under special circumstances, lunch may be purchased when you arrive on Monday morning. Please note: Lunch cannot be purchased on a day-by-day basis.
Day campers who are not on the lunch plan will either eat in the dining hall or sit outside the dining hall with other campers and staff, depending on university policy. Supervision will be provided at all times to all campers, whether they purchase our lunch plan or bring a bag lunch.
Extended Day Camps: All Meals Included
For commuting parents who need a bit of extra time in their day, we offer extended day camp hours. Our extended day program runs from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Extended hours are only available at locations that have overnight programs so be sure to check availability at your location of interest. Our regular day camp runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Overnight Camps: All Meals Included
Overnight campers will receive all meals, starting with Sunday dinner and lasting through Friday lunch.
Friday: Lunch is on iD!
On Fridays, no matter what camp option you choose, ALL students enjoy an iD style picnic with fun games and lunch provided by iD. Don’t forget, all campers are to be picked up at 3:30 PM on Friday following Family Showcase (unless they are registered for Ultimate Gaming Weekends).
Snacks
Commuting students are encouraged to bring snacks for short breaks throughout the day. Bringing a refillable water bottle is also advisable. Vending machines are often available on campus as well so feel free to bring some pocket change.
