8 Students Per Instructor. Guaranteed.
If you are a discerning parent, you want to know what you are getting ahead of time. In the summer camp business, a lot of camps claim “small ratios” and “low ratios.” But then you get to camp and the ratios are a little (or a lot) “bigger” than you expected. It is understandable that summer camps are cutting costs and maximizing ratios in a tough economic climate. But we do things differently. If we write it, we mean it. Honesty is hard to find these days. But it’s how we’ve built our business.

In 1999, iD Tech Camps wanted to focus on quality technology education. We wanted small class sizes to maximize personalized, 1-on-1 instruction. Our immersive camp environment (typically 5, 6, 7 or 8 students – but never more than 8 per instructor) would help foster creativity and hands-on learning. Fast forward, and we are still one of the only camps that publishes its ratio. And the only we know of who actually guarantees it.
The ratio guarantee is one more way in which iD does things a little differently. Quality was the name of the game back in 1999. And quality still matters, perhaps now more than ever. Here’s our guarantee.
The iD Guarantee:
We guarantee a maximum of 8 students per instructor at iD Tech Camps, iD Gaming Academy, iD Programming Academy, and iD Visual Arts Academy. If, during the participant’s course instructional hours, we should go beyond 8 students per instructor (9 or greater) for two or more consecutive days, the participant receives $100 off their tuition. It’s that simple! It’s iD quality. And it’s only at iD Tech Camps! Oh, and have we ever failed to deliver on our promise? Yes, actually! Read below:
Note: The only time we have failed to deliver on our ratio promise in the past was for a sick staff member, or a staff member that did not perform to our expectations. In those few instances, a new staff member was brought in—but not within the timeframe we promise. We honored the iD Guarantee, and clients were given a discount.
